Self Esteem Video

I saw this video years ago and was amazed at how much was done to change the appearance of a woman who appears to be just like any other woman. I’ve found that while PhotoShop is an amazing program, which I might add is one of my favorite software programs of all time, it is also a powerful tool that the media uses to entice us to believe we too can look like these unattainable, edited versions of reality.

I think the most important take away message from this video is that we are already beautiful. Human beings are imperfect and that is ok. One of the most endearing things about us is that we are striving to be the best we can be, but we don’t don’t need to be edited into unrealistic presentations to be good enough as we already are. Beauty comes from within, and the most important part of who we are is not the shell that contains us, it is the person we choose to be.
